It snowed again on Friday night, maybe a couple of inches.  This time I didn’t have to jump into crises mode and find someone to plow the road.

Saturday morning I was returning from the health club (I did a session with a trainer, and he was great.  More on that later.)  Anyway, I’m drivng down my long, curving driveway.

Overhead the sky was an intense turquoise blue.  The clouds had all reatreated to the distant horizons like dragons waiting to reinvade.  Every pinon and juniper was powdered with snow, and the sun gleamed on the snow.

In fact the sun was so bright that it pulled a rainbow of flashing colors from the snow.  It was as if someone had strewn opals down the length of my driveway.

Gorgeous.
