We’ve been hit with storm after storm here in New Mexico.  Yesterday I shoveled six inches of snow off my driveway.  The four wheel drive probably could have handled it, but I didn’t want to take any chances.  Next I shoveled off the steps leading down into my entry courtyard, and the courtyard.  It was quite a workout because I have to throw the snow up about four feet.  It was also great snowball snow, very wet, and it stuck together perfectly.

I three snowballs at the oriental bell hanging in a wooden frame (that isn’t really a bell, it’s a piece of pipe from the International Balloon Museum, but it looks great).  The metal gave out varying tones depending upon where the snow hit.  It’s so silent after a snowfall, and the overtones shimmered off the cliffs.

But before I got into this frenzy of activity I arouse at 6:30 to see the most amazing sunrise.  Here are a couple for your viewing pleasure.  I hope the snow will show.
