Andrew Sullivan has a link to a new Newt Gingrich ad. I watched to see what the Newtster is up to, and wow. Apparently America only has white people and cowboys in it now. Who knew?
And when he talks about how poor kids (read black) in the ghetto have never seen any one work unless it’s illegal. Wow. Yes, there is crime in the inner city, but there are also a shit load of people working three jobs to try and make ends meet.
This seems to just be a call out to a deeply confused and frightened older, white citizen. Why do the Repubs always try to have us vote our fears — communism, terrorism, gays, blacks, fluoride, wiccans, Muslims, atheists….. Okay, the list of what they fear could just go on and on. So I’ll stop now.
